These startnet/stopnet scripts allow you to:
1> Dial in to any number of providers.
2> Remove ALL passwords from your hard disk.
3> Go on/offline while keeping the TCP stack
and all clients running. You wait for the
AmiTCP requester to time-out only once,
offline.
4> Run programs, that want the TCP stack to
exists, offline.
5> Automatically start AmiPOP, inetd and aws.
What you need:
AmiTCP-demo-40 TCP/IP stack
PPP1_45 PPP device driver
AmiPOP118 POP mail receiver (optional)
AWS Amiga Web Server (optional)
This is a bugfix/update to my first release.
I used PIPE: for the dialscript - when ppp.device
redials the whole thing hanged. (oops) Now uses T:
Fixed behaviour of AmiTCP:
When offline and online again, AmiTCP's view of
hostname is not updated. Now startnet resolves
$ppp0IPLocal and sends the new hostname to the
AMITCP ARexx port.
