Short: Music Library Manager, jukebox features Author: robcranley@gmail.com (Rob Cranley) Uploader: robcranley gmail com (Rob Cranley) Type: mus/play Version: 0.6 Architecture: m68k-amigaos AmiTunes ~~~~~~~~ This is a library manager for cataloguing all your MP3s. It's mainly aimed at classic machines with a MAS Player, but supports software decoding via a "slave" player or software decoding engine, and works just fine on OS 3.0 to 4.1. Loosely based on the browse function of Apple's iTunes, but with a simple, classic Amiga GUI designed for native PAL Workbench use. Supports ID3 tag reading and writing, and can organise your MP3s by Artist/Album/Title. Also supports non-monitor/TV use via optional custom input buttons and alphanumeric LCD display. Important: Please read the enclosed guide before use!! It can mess with your files and needs to be configured before you use it the first time! Screenshots and more info available on my website: http://www.robthenerd.com Requirements ~~~~~~~~~~~~ An overview of AmiTunes Jukebox Edition's requirements: - OS 3.0+ - An FPU - The power to decode MP3s, be it a fast processor or a MAS player - id3tag.library (AmiNet - util/libs/id3tag_lib.lha) - reqtools.library (AmiNet - util/libs/ReqToolsLib.lha) - Screenmode of at least 640x256 For more information on the requirements, please see the included AmigaGuide documentation. AmiTunes has not been tested under any Amiga-like clone OSes, if you find that it works under MorphOS etc., please let me know! Changes In This Version ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 0.6 (28.03.2010) - Added basic, dedicated software decoding engine to eliminate the need for running AmigaAmp in the background on high-end / OS4 / UAE systems - Fixed many bugs in the display lists, especially highlighting the correct song on startup. Still some left though... - Cleaned up seek code and various other bits - Corrected some mistakes in the AmigaGuide documentation
