Short: AmigaEMS update for A2386 users! Architecture: m68k-amigaos A2386 UPDATE ------------ Owners of an A2386 bridgeboard have reported problems with AmigaEMS. No matter what they tried, the AMIGAEMS.SYS device driver on the PC kept on reporting the error message 'Interrupt 67 is already in use' With the help of an A2386 owner in the USA, I finally managed to isolate the problem. The AMIGAEMS.SYS program has been updated. It now works properly with the A2386 bridgeboard as well. There is no need for the update if you own an A2088 or an A2286. IMPORTANT: Service 31 is already in use by the janus software on the A2386. It is not used by the janus software on the A2088 and the A2286. As AmigaEMS uses service 31 by default, A2386 users have to use a different service. E.g., service 20. When invoking AmigaEMS on the Amiga you have to specify the SERVICE=20 parameter. On the PC you have to alter CONFIG.SYS to reflect the correct service as well: DEVICE=AMIGAEMS.SYS 20 This update contains one file only. The file AMIGAEMS.SYS included in this archive replaces the file by the same name in version 1.01 and 1.02 of AmigaEMS. Please make sure you specify the '/b' parameter on AREAD when transferring the file to your bridgeboard. Unfortunately version 1.51 contains a serious bug that can cause your Amiga or bridgeboard to crash!
