Short: OGLES2 Space action game Author: krabobmkd Uploader: victorien ferry free fr Type: game/shoot Version: 1.3 Requires: OS3.1 ogles2 v3dglslc AHI mpega Architecture: m68k-amigaos >= 3.1 --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Earths Of Alioth Laser Action - AmigaOS 3.x "Today, you have a planet to protect." Protect a planet from a drone invasion, from a network of satellites in orbit around it. Move from satellite to satellite, carry Laser, Shield and Robot items from one to another, and shoot the drones before they destroy your planet. At some point of my life, I also was amongst the ones that ran into that "Mobile game eldorado", it was before Unity3D even existed, so I did each machine interfaces myself. This makes a pistorm ogles2 port almost immediate today, now we have emu68 and drivers for the videocore. Earths Of Alioth was made in 2014 for multitouch screens, on Android and iOS. This version plays it with a mouse or a trackball instead of fingers: a trackball is better. The game is set in space: there is no "up" or "down". It was made to experiment with gameplay and with GLES2 rendering, and comes with a procedurally generated GLSL starfield: the sky and planets of each level are computed by a shader into a cube map, and some "physical laws" apply. The full version: all the levels, no "pay to unlock" anything. I'm telling you, GLES2-capable Amiga users: you are very, very lucky. Requirements: - AmigaOS 3.1 or later. - an accelerator with a 68060 class CPU and FPU, and a GPU that ogles2.library can use: a PiStorm with a Raspberry Pi 4 or CM4, running recent Emu68 and brand new drivers. - ogles2.library 1.3 or later: https://github.com/ladislawv/ogles2/releases - the shader compiler v3dglslc in LIBS: (in the ogles2 archive, offered by Install-ogles2). The first start compiles the shaders, about 10 seconds. Assign OGLES2Cache: to a drawer to keep them across reboots, else they are compiled again after each reboot. - an RTG system (Picasso96 or CyberGraphX) with a 24 or 32 bit truecolor screen mode. - AHI and mpega.library, for music and sound. - (optional) openurl.library, for the "Visit Tips Page" button. Window or full screen, switch at any time with F10 or Alt+Return. Double click to fire the laser, or keys, or button. Amiga+Q to quit. Read EarthsOfAlioth.guide for the options (icon tooltypes), the controls and the game rules. Original game (c) 2014-2016 Vic Ferry / Chloroptera Fx. AmigaOS 3 port 2026 by krabobmkd.
