Short: change AmigaUUCP's UULIB:Sys file via email Architecture: m68k-amigaos This is the first public release of fc, a utilitiy program for AmigaUUCP V1.16, with which other sites can change their news feed by sending simple commands via email. Let me just attach the help file of fc. This file can be requested by other sites if they forgot the syntax of the commands. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Information About Feed-Change ============================= Send messages to the user feed-change at the system you want to change the news feed. The remote system must have added your system to his database, otherwise your messages will be ignored. Some sites require a password which must be written in the Subject: header line as the only item. The following is a list of valid commands. The body is parsed until the END command or until the end of file is reached. Commands can be written in either case and are detected by their first character only (the remaining characters can be dropped if desired). Leading and trailing spaces are ignored. ADD Add the newsgroup to the list of newsgroups currently batched for the neighboring system. If the newsgroup already exists, this command is ignored except if a NEW command exists in the message body. In this case no ADD commands are ignored. END Parsing of the message body stops at this point. HELP Send a separate help message to user requesting feed-change service. Multiple HELP commands are ignored. LIST This commands will not execute until all `ADD' and `REMOVE' commands have completed. Multiple `LIST' commands are ignored. This command attaches a list of newsgroups currently batched for the neigboring system to the return message. NEW Clear current news feed. This command takes affect before newsgroups are being added with the ADD command. Any REMOVE command will be ignored if the NEW command is present. Multiple NEW commands are ignored. REMOVE Remove the newsgroup from the list of newsgroups currently batched for the neighboring system. If the newsgroup is not present in the list, this command is ignored. SITE If user has access to the news feed for multiple sites, it is possible to select one with this command. Only one SITE command is allowed per message to feed-change. The last SITE command found will be used. If no SITE command is used, but the user can access the news feed for multiple sites, an arbitrary feed is chosen. -EOF- --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Documentation is included with the archive.
